WE ARE THE RCN
vote anne marie rafferty
president of the RCN
Voting closes on Nov 14th 2018.
How my experience and qualities will help fulfil the role of president at RCN and why members should vote for me.
Colleagues, We live in extraordinary times. The RCN is in turmoil; caught up in an existential crisis. The role of the President will help set a new direction of travel; regain a sense of equilibrium; support the General Secretary and new Council once elected, as well as leading key elements of the change process. Governance and communication will be core to the new mission. Evaluating changes thus far and ensuring communications sits at the top table will be No.1 priorities for me. Pushing the safe staffing prospectus across the UK and boosting the campaign for England will be high on my agenda. Under my leadership nursing will become a social movement drawing on our collective strengths & talents to target the big health and care challenges of the day. Colleagues, we are powerful together.
We are the RCN.
The RCN is a broad church. I shall use the full range of my leadership and creative powers to move us forward in an inclusive manner. I bring a fresh perspective as well as academic rigour to the debate. That does not mean I recoil from the rough and tumble. I am prepared to stand up and fight for what I believe in. In so doing I shall mobilise the full might and power of my networks, national and international to boost our policy reach and impact. Under my leadership nursing will become a social movement drawing on our collective talents to target the big health and social care challenges; access, cost and quality of care. Colleagues, we are powerful together.
We are the RCN.
